Remote Freelance Senior Graphic Designer


Position Type: Contract

About this Position

You will develop and implement a wide range of projects. Print projects include booklets, brochures, signage, labels, posters, flyers, and banners. Digital projects include websites, emails, PowerPoint presentations, and social media. Depending on your skill set, you may also work on video editing, advertising, animation, and interactive displays. Some projects will include concept work—coming up with ideas for our clients. But most times, you will focus on implementing designs and managing content. The right candidate for this position will be someone who embraces learning, welcomes critiques and challenges, and is eager to go the extra mile. Essential Functions

  • Collaborating with the Penn Creative team in all stages of the creative process
  • Developing original concepts and staying abreast of the latest design trends
  • Thinking strategically about each project’s unique needs

  • Sharing your ideas and opinions in a positive and constructive manner


Requirements

  • Passion for delivering outstanding design work! 
  • Your portfolio must include samples with a clean, modern aesthetic—appropriate for sophisticated corporate clients.
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience (excluding internships and student work).
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and PowerPoint. (You MUST be near expert-level in InDesign. If you’re not, please do not apply.)
  • Proficiency in all steps of the production process (preflighting, collecting, resizing, etc.).
  • Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp and Constant Contact.
  • Familiarity with front-end web development platforms such as Duda and Squarespace.
  • Experience with User Experience / User Interface (UX/UI).
  • Experience creating animated graphics and video editing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Google and Facebook ads is a huge plus.
  • Ability to manage details accurately under tight deadlines—and with a positive attitude.
  • Extraordinary time management, organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A fearless spirit—you need to embrace taking risks, asking questions, seeking clarification and learning new things.
